This is a really great proof of concept. The simple system of following footprints whilst trying to keep track of your own is inspired (hilariously, bunnyhopping helps). The use of sound in particular is outstanding. The general atmosphere with the low visibility, breath fogging in front of you, and the little details in the text descriptions has been successfully nailed.

Obviously, because it's just an experimental project, there are some rushed aspects (I found the pack of deer who run away chilling at the invisible wall - though it was nice to hang out) and if this was to be expanded upon further then there definitely needs to be a checkpoint system, map, compass, and page for custom notes. But you know you’ve come across something special when you're reaching for a pen and paper...

Having played it fully now (decided to restart but save my answers)... I now see it wasn't necessary to go back, as I had found all the bodies anyway. However, I did NOT identify the bodies correctly, apart from maybe 2, or maybe it was that I did not agree on what the cause of death was. Awesome idea for a game, but yeah.

Thanks for playing! Yea it was pretty rushed in a lot of places lol, but I'm glad you still enjoyed it! The thing I was really focussing on the most was the general vibe and atmosphere, hopefully at some point I might have the time to make something bigger out of all this. Thanks again!

Currently playing thru; I have encountered the bear scene and am now tracking back the other 2 sets of footprints. However, I cannot proceed further. Invisible wall style. Do I need to restart the game to ever track those? Not sure how to proceed

Love the atmosphere of this, and tracking the footsteps was a neat way to try parse what was happening.  I unfortunately didn't solve it, because I lost track of some bodies and backtracking was slow enough I couldn't suss out what I missed. Really fun premise though, and I enjoyed getting to get up close to a deer just once.
